A thrilling journey through the life of Pharrell Williams, told through the lens of LEGO animation. Animal Logic, who animated the previous four theatrical LEGO movies, did not return to animate the film, as it would have been considered a Warner Bros. rip-off, even though Lego and Warner Bros. share the rights to the original franchise. Instead, the animation was done at Pure Imagination Studios in Los Angeles and Zebu Animation Studios in India. Pure Imagination and Zebu have previously recreated the style of the original film franchise through theme park attractions, public service announcements, and the 1989 episode of The Simpsons “Brick Like Me (2014).” The opening of Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Tremolo The Lego Group’s studio productions and emblems are made of Lego bricks. Pharrell Williams biopic made out of legos, awesome and original. But you have to ask yourself who is it for? Because it’s too boring to be a kids movie and most adults wouldn’t watch it because they’d think it was a kids movie. I watched it in person last night and was pretty bored, the lego biopic was the only thing saving this movie, otherwise no one would have cared except for Pharrell Williams super fans. Also, I don’t know how Focus films have survived all year, they are the only cinema company where the theatre is constantly empty every time I go, even room by room, there were only 5 people in total. The other 2 films I watched via focus shows this year, the theatre was completely empty and I was the only person on the audio tour, which is very rare for me to be alone in a cinema.
