Synopsis
Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, attempts to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melted makeup to shooting in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti discuss how they got into character during the production of “The Penguin.” Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of The Penguin to smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful. However, for his own series, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.
An umbrella falls over and the logo changes to the Warner Bros
logo. Appears in Graham Norton i gosti: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). The Batman, for my taste, simply had the best representation of Gotham City brought to film.
This series completely ramps up these aspects and builds perfectly off of the movie
The atmosphere was disgustingly dank, and visually everything you would want to see from what he is known for. A big part of that was his mobster underworld where Oswald aka Penguin was starting to take over. I can’t say enough about Colin Farrell’s performance in this and it honestly may be his masterpiece.
I can overlook that though
The guy gives the character the rawest, seedy feel he can and it’s so well done that it resonates. Even without Batman, the intrigue of him is so strong that you don’t even notice it. The other supporting characters are all pretty well done, though some of the casting choices seem a little off to some.
One of the best series of the last decade easily
This series continues to perfectly set up this Batman universe and I can’t wait to see where they go from here. Give Colin Farrell all the awards he deserves for this role.
