Synopsis
A grieving therapist begins to tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes to people's lives – including his own.. The cast of "Shrinking" share the top moments that defined their characters in Season 1 and reveal who has the best Harrison Ford impression wanted a "Harrison Ford type," and was going to audition people similar to Ford. Segel told Goldstein they had to at least bring it to Ford first, thinking he would turn it down immediately, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project, generating interest from other notable actors.
And Jessica is perfect
Goldstein still doesn't understand what he did to convince him, but was elated nonetheless. And the rest of the show is great, too. Jason Segel is perfectly cast for this script. He has the weird, idiotically confident energy needed for this role.
You would lose your license immediately
Her humor is just right for the dialogue. This is the new way of situation dramedies. No real punch lines, just engaging personalities with a pinch of quirk, and family circumstances that are just a little over the line from normal, but still relatable. Of course, Jimmy's behavior as a therapist is completely absurd.
But we allow metaphorical situations in drama
Just impossible. And in this script, we sense a strong purposefulness in the decisions. We have to give the writers the benefit and try to get the gist. For me, it's easy and fun.
