Charlotte keeps looking sideways as the group stands in front of the hospital
Synopsis
A horror web series crew heads to an abandoned asylum for a live-action broadcast. They soon encounter much more than they bargained for as they delve deeper into the nightmarish old building. The filmmakers couldn’t get permission from the South Korean government to film in a real hospital, so the scenes in the film set in Gonjiam were filmed at the National Naval High School in Busan, where the production team strictly followed the hospital’s floor plan to recreate the exact exterior and hallways.

She’s clearly reacting, as she smiles at whoever it is. Two teenagers stand in front of the infamous Room 402 of the abandoned Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital, trying to open the door and streaming from their cell phones. They soon disappear before they can open the door.
Gonjian Psychiatric Hospital has a notorious past, as its director (Park Ji-ah) killed all of its patients and then committed suicide
The YouTube channel "Horror Times" Owner Ha-joon (Wi Ha-joon) decides to broadcast live from Gonjiam, hoping to reach one million viewers, with sponsors paying half a million dollars in advertising. Ha-joon joins a team of six teenagers: three boys, Sung-hoon (Park Sung-hoon), Seung-wook (Seung-Wook Lee), and Je-Yoon (Jay Yoo); and three girls, Ah-yeon (Ah-yeon Oh) and rookies Charlotte (Ye-Won Mun) and Ji-Hyun (Park Ji-Hyun), to spend the night in Gonjiam and broadcast live. Ha-joon stays in the base tent, controlling the broadcast with a delay to edit his selections before streaming to viewers, and the group splits up and heads to the hospital’s four floors.
When the effects are activated, Charlotte and Ji-Hyun are surprised and scared, but are convinced to stay with the group
The girls are unaware that Ha-joon, Sung-hoon, and Seung-wook have set up fake supernatural effects to haunt the girls and, consequently, scare the audience. However, supernatural activities are taking place in Gonjiam, and Ha-jin tries to figure out what is happening and continue streaming. "Gon-ji-am", also known as "Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum" (2018), is a predictable but tense "found footage" style film.
The conclusion is somewhat pointless
This low-budget film features eerie and messy cinematography, created by a handy camera, and is scary yet confusing. "Gon-ji-am" is for horror fans who like this cheap way of filming because the unoriginal plot is funny. My vote is six.Title (Brazil): "Gonjiam: Manicômio Assombrado" (“Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum”)
